The weeklong Mastery Event: Put 'Em On Ice starts today (Because we slowly roll out new events and features to ensure stability within the game, this event may not be immediately available to all players.), and you’ll want to fight your way to avoid freezer burn and show your enemies who's truly the coolest. In addition to earning bragging rights for each foe you ice, you’ll gain mastery in the art of icing and receive super cool mastery rewards! It's about to get cold with this new mastery challenge, but the number of ices you have could heat the game up! Each time that you ice another player your Ice Mastery bar will increase. When you have enough ices under your belt you will be rewarded the mastery item for your current level. Ice Mastery FAQ
You can repeat this event up to 5 times, but remember, it will cost you 60 
each time that you chose to repeat the challenge.

Too bad I didn't have time to play any account long enough to get 1000 ices due to my work schedule and personal life. If I cheated it would have been done but I don't cheat. I did notice though that out of all my game accounts in mafia wars, only a couple of the smaller accounts could ice easily enough to reach 1000 in the time span. The others had to deal with the reality of a dead fight list.

I fnished this in 4 days so I hope next time Zynga makes it a bit harder.

Finally finished this event, 1000/1000 ices done!! Not gonna spend 60rps to replay it though...

Redo this event is not bullshit, especially in x2 fight loot weekend. Without any reward point spent other than event redoing, I can finish this event again in three days with tons of fight loots and get both reward items those are better than items in the marketplace sold at 25 RP.
I used Hybrid fearless (3000energy/2500stamina) at level around 1200. I had spent 3 fighter energy pack from victory coin, 5 energy packs, 5 energy and stamina refill from Refinery and Barrack in Brazil properties (Both lv 10), 3 energy/stamina 30% refill from Blue/Red Mystery bags. I generally fight in Italy, except I want to get free Crew bonus for fighting in Brazil to refill stamina via level up.

Good way to finish this event - visit your second account with very low level, go on fight page, open all profiles there in new windows, copy profile codes and then - go back to your profile and paste the codes, one by one, to your browser. Every profile is one ice - just attack him and then use power attack. Easy as pie.

I can get the ruby but the next level is just too much. You would have to keep fighting the entire time (no life) just to make it.

Booyah! I thrived on one player until I got the Ruby Mastery. LOL. He wouldn't stay down dangit! Seems the 1000 ices is virtually impossible...what with less than 13 hours left.

Still got 400 ices to go. I wouldnt mind but I got it 5 days after it started. Could of easy done it with the extra days but now its looking impossible. Screwed by zyngy yet again!!!!!

Not really, the event was only slated for 7 days. The early and gradual roll out period was bonus time.

Nope, same rewards. It is not really worth paying 60RP AND having to ice another 1000 people to get the items.

I have 16 ices, its been hard to even get 1 for me because everyone seems to be fighting constantly, My problem is when i go to collect my bronze so i can call it quits i guess, it wont even load and it just goes to the top of the page without doing anything, Halp plox?

have they broken fighting? Ever since I got 501 mafia members rather than being put against my peers of an equal level I seem to constantly be up against people hundreds or thousands of levels above me that I can't hope to defeat.
Is there any way to get me fighting against my peers again, for example by losing some of my bought mafia members to get me below 501?

This is more likely a result of your increasing level, my guess is you have reached level 450 and been thrown into the Shark Tank.

Ahh, both happened pretty much together. It is somewhat frustrating to often find myself with a full board of people 1000s of levels above me that I can not hope to defeat.

Yep, Shark Tank can be rough when you first hit it, depending on the type of player you run.

Finished! It was a decent event, but a bit tedious. I think it would be better if they lowered the target amount but also lowered the time we have to keep it at the same difficulty level.

No, you only get one Tundra Tiger, the highest you've unlocked. Not sure what "assasin" (the word is spelled assassin btw.) sees on his page. If he still has 4, he can expect it to be corrected eventually.

At last talking stalk finally got it fighting in brazil is really tough it takes a while maybe if i did it in new york im already done two days ago but its really slow in new york to finish up 5000 stamina and if you are leveling up 6 times a day it really sucks but brazil is fun getting all the high end loot 5x quicker than any cities

What the best area to fight? Brazil, Italy, etc?

All the cities are the same, but depending on your level avoid Brazil because you spend more stamina per fight if you have a higher level and, in most cases, you need some fights to ice another player.... All the others are the same. In my case, already won this event and fought most of the time in Italy, Vegas and Bangkok for the money I could win.... Have in mind that you will spend a massive amounts of New York cash regenerating your life, depending on you attack/defense skills and mafia size. I tried to fight in New York to see if I can have some of money back (although I have almost 7 bilion) and won only 3 millions (3 life regenerations for me). So I think it´s better to fight in Italy, Vegas and Bangkok for the money.....
