It is actually quite rare for a jaguar to be black colored (they usually have a pattern similar to that of the leopard). Those that are black have a condition called melanism. The Jaguar weapon's high attack may be a reflection upon the fact that jaguars have extraordinarily strong teeth (even for a big cat), which are capable of piecing turtle shells. It may also be a reflection of their superior stalking and ambushing skills that often lend to it being a top predator in most environments.
