Redirected from Godfather

The Marketplace is a new feature of Mafia Wars which replaced the Godfather. This feature was added on February 25, 2010. From the official blog: "GRAND OPENING - Marketplace is now open for business! A fresh buying experience. International payments, hourly sale items, surprise daily specials, and much more." You can buy various limited edition loot items, crates, boosts, and stats boosting items.

Note: A player needs to be level 15 to access the Marketplace.

Here you can earn Reward Points by completing offers. Remember these can cost real cash.

Pawn ShopEdit

The Pawn Shop is run by Trader Goh. He offers you to trade your old loot for new items. Depending on which item you want you have to trade , , or items. There is also a Reward Points cost for each item. For a list of items check Trader Goh's Pawn Shop.

Loyalty ProgramEdit

The Loyalty Program is an installment where you can earn items by clicking news feed, accepting gifts,... There are 4 Loyalty settings. You start out as , then , then and finally . You earn Loyalty Points to buy items. Items increase in attack, defense and price in each tier. For more check Loyalty Program.

Fight ClubEdit

While fighting and robbing you can earn . With these you can buy items from the Fight Club There are 21 masteries. You can get 4 Achievements while getting to level 21. Check the Fight Club page for more info about the rewards and number of fight wins to gain a level.

Daily ChanceEdit

Every week there is a Mafia Wars Lottery called the Daily Chance. You get a free ticket every 24 hours or you can get them from Mystery Bags or The Daily Take. You can also buy 1 for 2Reward Points. With every ticket you earn 1 ticket progress (max of 6). Depending on how high your ticket progess is you can claim different prizes. The lottery consists out of 70 numbers where you need to choose 5 (or ask the computer to generate them for you). Depending on how many numbers you got right you receive a different reward. Group SalesEdit

“	Group Sales prove there's (more) strength in numbers. Here's how they work: An item is made available in the marketplace with a starting price and starting stats (100/56 in the case of our first Group Sale item, the Onyx 50). Then, as more of the item are sold, its stats are upgraded. When the stats improve, the price increases too, but only for any new purchases of the item. Pre-upgrade purchases get the better stats for free! The level of stats everyone ends up receiving depends on the sales tier achieved by the end of the Group Sale (note the timer in the image, which is counting down to an end time of 2am PDT on 8/26 for the Onyx 50).	”

This page is probably mostly redundant information and useless as it stands. Aside from the more 'static' items etc it probably doesn't need to list any items and may be much more helpful just to give overview info and see also links for the different marketplace areas instead.

most of the marketplace stuff is not that much stronger than the highest loot so ur best off waiting til they have super sales, deep 6, and items close to 100 in terms of attack and defense..........
if u truly want to be successful save the RP and instead of buying godfather stuff pay to make extra railguns and stun knuckles to get those attack points

Sure do. Sometimes an ad shows up that lets you into the marketplace, but looking for a more consistent way in. Need to spend some loyalty points on a bit of energy...

Does any 1 know when those -20% all marketplace sales come ? is it in morning or its random? or its random to every player for himself like 1% to proc on every opening ? i wanna buy some cool stuff but 35reward is alot :S 28 seems much more appropriate xD any 1 know ?

It would be awesome to have a half energy refill or half stamina refill for half the RPs. Sometimes I want to refill so I can level up but would have too much energy/stamina left over that refilling for 10 RPs would be a waste. I know I would spend a lot more reward points if I could get a half refill.

What does buying extra members actually do? If I have over 501 now does it add to that count or do you actually get to fight with 511 if you add ten?

That's about it. There is no real strategy for an ATM account, as I like to call them. Just what they said, withdraw your baht, and hit it with your stronger account.

Some things: 1. It is SUPER LAME that you can only build a Silenced Sniper Rifle, Glance 32SR, and Hazard Gear once a week!
2. They REALLY need to bring back the 3 [CURRENT] Crates for 14 RP's during the 1-hour sales. I want to buy some Underwater Crates, I want that Aquatic Rifle!(Not because it has 75 Attack, because it looks awesome!)
3. The SK 7 Shorty, BUzzsaw, Nile Crocodile, and Panel Vest need to priced waaay lower!
4. They should just remove time limits altogether.
