This may be your last night in Bangkok, but one night can make the world your oyster. The city is shutting down so you'll need to raid it while you still can.
At the culmination of the event Bangkok is over-run by the Neo-Imperium and all access is denied.
As an extra during this event, the Iron And Silk (74 73 147) also drops from Jobs and Fights (with a limit of 10/day). There is also a 5x Job Mastery bonus if you have not completed Bangkok yet.
"Hey, Boss. You remember Suchart from Bangkok, right? He sent us a message, says it's urgent that we fly in to see him. I don't know what he wants, but he's not exactly the kind of guy who exaggerates, know what I'm saying?" - Auria Wilson
"I guess everything'll keep while we're gone. Let's head out." - Auria Wilson
"It looks like the Neo-Imperium have basically taken control of all Bangkok resources. How did they know we would be arriving today? Did Suchart betray us? Hang on -- Did you hear that?" - Auria Wilson
"Your fighting skills are as potent as ever. I am glad to have reached you in time." - Suchart
"It was not me who called you back to Bangkok. That was a trick of the Neo-Imperium. But since you are here, I must ask you to aid me. I know you and the Shadow King have had your differences, but we must work together if we're to defeat the Neo-Imperium." - Suchart
"We are too late! The Shadow King has been defeated for the last time." - Suchart
"This happened because the Shadow King trusted the wrong men. You may want to flee Bangkok while you still can, but I must destroy the traitors." - Suchart
"I'm grateful for your help. My men say they have found the leader of the renegades. Let us put him to death for his dishonorable actions." - Suchart
"Suchart, my old friend! Yes, I plotted to defeat the Shadow King. Only a fool would not choose to join the winning side in this war." - Toshiki
"We will never forget your actions here today. Though we must retreat from Bangkok now, I am sure we will meet and work together again one day." - Suchart
I have worked very hard in babgkok! now when am left with the last 2 episodes of the last district level ruby it is being locked! what a shame! what's the need of locking it?????
disappointed with zynga
i wonder as gear comes and goes we know that stats will rise on them higher and higher maybe in a few years we might be 1000000 att/def geared
i think it would be very cool to get to refight the bosses that were hard now to see how easy they are
kind of my idea for future cities because no city will be safe forever and no boss will stand for long
define long honestly if you make sure to buy out and collect/upgrade properties its not really that long my bangkok cash built while i did other things then i used it when i needed it it didnt feel like a long time because i just did a little when ever i felt like it
Eh, I find NY cash to be much more than the assumed 1000x easier to get (NY$1000 heals as much as B$1 in the hospital). On the best-paying jobs I was getting around B$60 per energy spent, while in NY, I'm getting around $1.5M per energy spent, which is a ratio of around 25k instead of 1k. That's just on jobs, too - I'm getting billions from properties.
Also, the vault in Vegas has a cap, even at five stars, so I guess it would be effective to use that as well. Money is kind of useless on any region that you've completed, anyway, except for the Bangkok faction store which has (soon to be "had") decent loot to buy (decent for me, anyway).
Italy money is still good since you can buy things at the port which might not help for attack or defense as far as the items go, but they have quite a few stat upgrades along with them.
If you upgrade every time you collect, that's 29 collections during which you make very little profit off of it. So it does indeed pay for itself, and then start to turn a profit, but it takes a long darn time, IMO. Granted, I've only been playing for a few months, so maybe for veterans it doesn't seem so long.
I'm willing to intentionally red ice some people in order to give them baht (limit 2-3m each). But only if doing so will actually allow them to finish Bangkok and they have already sold anything they don't need. Feel free to do a drive by (single attack) to see you win fights against me, but my cash is banked so any agreement will have to be organized so i take it out :) (dont want anything in return)
Even if you only spend baht on the Gambling Den, the property that has the largest revenues, you'd spend 3,900,300 baht to buy it and upgrade it to level 30 (highest level for Bangkok properties according to http://mafiawars.wikia.com/wiki/Bangkok_Properties), which, at 201,060 every 3 days, would take 60 days to break even. After finishing the second to last job of Assassin, the last job requires you to buy an additional 15 each of Nguhea Sniper Rifle, Poisoned Crossbow, Jungle Fatigue, and Khway SUV, totaling 13,425,000 baht. That's an extra 150 days of just collecting the level 30 Gambling Den. If you somehow happened to have level 30 of every property without having to pay to upgrade and wait out the break-even point, you'd need a mere 75 days of collecting from every property as soon as it was ready.
Two to three months (at best) of collecting from properties just to be able to do a single job doesn't seem very trivial to me.
Arrrggghhh!!!! im am stuck in the last mission of the last chapter and i dont hame enough money to finish it in due time!!! Time wasted!!! I whanted so mutch the giant thai centipede. i am so close and i will fail... hate bangkok.
Since Bangkok's going to be closing anyway, you can go ahead and sell any items that you needed for previous jobs, like Seux Machine Guns and Lorries, as well as pretty much everything else from the city store except for what you need for the last Assassin jobs (Nguhea Sniper Rifle, Poisoned Crossbow, Jungle Fatigue, and Khway SUV). If it's Tier 4 you're stuck on, selling all that will get you a few tens of millions of Baht, which you can use to buy what you need for that last job. I read about this a couple days ago at http://mafiawars.wikia.com/wiki/Assassin.
Also, I recommend that after you completely finish Bangkok, sell all your city store junk and go to the Faction Store. Buy as much as you can with whatever gives you the biggest boost - I went for the animals from both factions. All in all, I was able to buy 44 Banded Krait and 45 Xiamen Tiger, which is a total cost of around B$43M. Keep in mind that there was some loss from reselling items and banking my baht now and again. Hope this helps!
I have plenty of baht but my guess is you won't win fights against me. Fighting in Bangkok has always been the best way to get baht. In fact i have been healing exclusively in Bangkok for the past week, and my cash is still going up because i get more from the fights per heal than it costs to heal.
i liked bangkok but the damn money i jus didnt do bankok tha much i only mastered the 3rd, 4th and 6th tier now im jus doing everything on bronze to get a shit load of skill points 34 at one time it looked ridiculously funny
i have to say, i didn't try bangkok in a long time, i was too busy in brazil, italy and vegas. so i wouldn't have even wasted my energy on some loot that are nothing compared to brazil
tbh its not really a money thing because the zone is money based only have 5 days to complete it and 2 weeks maybe 3 would have been needed that or being able to gift baht to mafia members money in the millions
notice there selling baht for rp openly now but even buying the money it wont be easy or cheap (cash into baht) i mean
lets be honest unless your the kind of person that must complete every thing 100 percent or you some how need the shitty gear forget all about bangkok unless your nearly done there
A started Bangkok ~ 1 week ago, now it closes...lukcy me xD
I guess i`ll switch my attention back to Vegas and try to finish it asap, `cause from all i read, vegas may be the next in line to be closed
not really, I finished all except the new brazil three and over half way done on them, I just recently got my 501 but when I did all those mastering, I was very small mafia.
I feel for those who haven't done it yet. I hated Bangkok back when I did it. Don't get upset if you don't finish though...the mastery rewards are definitely not worth it. The Ruby Centipede is the only decent thing you get so just master that episode if you have to choose.
