April Fools Day 2010 involved the Chop Shop being turned into a Unicorn Castle and several items being changed. The day after the Unicorn Castle and the Unicorns changed back into the Chop Shop and Vehicles that were available before. If you crafted a Unicorn during the event it also changed to the Vehicle it was.

The dev team was kicking around ideas for a couple of days. We wanted to do something people would think was funny, without a whole lot of code changes. It was only supposed to be up for one day.

I did the art last minute over the weekend before April Fool's day. I wasn't even sure it would make it into the release. I hope it was clear to everyone who already had cars that got transformed into unicorns, that they would switch back.

The rainbow unicorn was my homage to Unicorn Attack. In hindsight I think I might have went a little over the top girly with it. We still aren't decided on the fate of the unicorns. The fan reaction was very polarizing to say the least, because they are so off topic.
