OverviewEdit

Uncover the mysteries of Ancient Relics in Latin America. Ancient civilizations often spoke in hushed tones about prophesies regarding the end of days. Signs would often include turmoil and upheaval. The Ancient Relics gifting event is the first harbinger of a change in Mafia Wars that will shake up what you think you know about the game. Play the Ancient Relics gifting event for a chance to collect and master 3 Ancient Relics gifts to earn a grand prize. Every few days, a new Ancient Relics gift (Mayan Calendar, Aztec Knife, Inca Mask) will unlock and be giftable to mafia members and friends through the message box on your home page or the free gifts page. Players will gain mastery for collecting multiples of each unique Ancient Relics gift.

You may also randomly receive extra Ancient Relics gifts while doing jobs and fights - share these with your friends in a feed, friends who click on your feed will give you Ancient Relics gifts, too. The number of gifts required to master each level are:

Bronze - 4 Gifts
Silver - 8 Gifts
Gold - 16 Gifts
(Total required = 28 per Ancient Relics gifts type)

Players who achieve gold mastery for all three Ancient Relics gifts during the Ancient Relics gift event will earn the Grand Prize Leopard Tooth mastery item. The Grand Prize will only awarded once gold mastery for all three Ancient Relics gifts is achieved. Players will have the opportunity to repeat the event after achieving gold mastery for all three items. This will completely reset all counters and start the Ancient Relics from the beginning to earn duplicate mastery items. This event can be repeated 2 additional times to earn a maximum of 3 mastery reward items. -Ancient Relics Event 411

they are not 2 days..you had time before releasing a new gift to send and accept the old ones..and really it doesn't matter to re-spam just to get a couple more items you already have..

naaaah..... I think it's a hint for the next city/location/geographical themed update, which may take the place of southern america (Rio, IMO). this and the ending of Dead Man Talking signifies this.

well.. the event would be cool if the items would be.. what do i get? a weak gecko.. awesome. some sort of gay shoes with some spikes on? and an ordinary ride that's just called pack hunter? kay. the only thing worthy is this weapon. and i still want to know WHY a damn little dagger like this is stronger than any bomb, gun or other killing device? it's senseless..

Look every single thing in mafia wars have no sense example: messinos pistol: 175 atk 118def hand granade 2 atk 3 def party ballons 6 atk 18 def snow fort 7atk 25def red coat 8 atk 28 def fruit cake 13atk 15def bubblehead 13 atk 23def grenade launcher 14atk 13def joy buzzer 15 atk 21def see doesnt have sense becuse why does a joy buzzer have 15atk and a grenade launcher has 14atk? no sense and why does D.R.E. have 140 atk and the oninker (a giant armored truck or whatever) has only 100atk. LOL doesnt have sense

Like most of these events, you get items from friends (sent as free gifts) or by clicking on feeds (you will randomly find stashes while doing jobs). Each friend who clicks the stash you post will get both of you one more item; likewise, you get another one each time you click a friend's. I believe you can collect about 5 stashes a day, and receive 10 free gifts a day, assuming you have 10 active friends.

I find these events to be a total rip off...you work to get bronze, silver and gold items...and as you progress they take the lesser away from you...hey Zynga I worked for it I should be able to keep it in my inventory...tired of all the work going into it and losing all the loot!

I don't think so, if this will be a fight event, there should be 4 loots and the mastery loot should have three levels of mastery too, I'm sure this is a gift event.
